My name is Margaret Ann Mackenzie.

I first met Anne Penman in 1988 when my husband and I both stopped smoking with her laser treatment.

I started smoking at 13 years old at High School and had spent most of my adult life a smoker and as I had tried many times and methods to stop over the years, I was sceptical to say the least when I tried this new programme, my biggest fear being that I would fail again.

Today we are still happy non-smokers and I am so pleased to be part of the Anne Penman laser therapy programme in Scotland and I have been helping people to stop since June 2002.

Please feel free to call if I can help.

Hi there, my name is Jean Millar.

I joined the Anne Penman Hamilton centre in January of 2005. I met my Husband John in the eighties, when I was smoking about 20 a day, he told me he had never smoked, and hinted I should try to stop. I wish Laser therapy had been available then, as I found it very difficult to quit on my own, luckily people no longer need to suffer as I did, just come to our centre instead.

I love my job, I am always meeting really nice people, the centre has a great relaxing atmosphere and I am so proud to help share this programme which in turn can make such a big difference to people’s quality of life.

Hi my name is Helen Mason,

I am 33 years old, married to John for 10 years and have 2 energetic kids Bailey & Darci. I foolishly started smoking when I was thirteen and continued the habit for twelve years. I tried many times to stop, using patches, gum, willpower etc and was advised by my doctor to stop after a health scare. I successfully stopped in1998 and will always remember how difficult it was, but one of the best things I have ever done.

I have worked for Anne Penman since august 2005 ,and find it so rewarding to help people become happy non smokers.
